Low trees and tall grass, just out of Beira. A lot of Pterocarpus in this part, trees about like low veld - but grass very tall. Combretum. A little more brush and land more brown or reddish - hilly or slightly rolling. [Shantz travel journal, Nov. 3, 1919]
