Typical Themeda high veld, Burtt-Davy home in back. [Shantz travel journal, Oct. 16, 1919] B. Davy has a ranch 10 miles square (not regarded as an abnormally large ranch). Sell at about 4 [pounds] per acre and will grow 20 to 30 bushels of corn per acre. Graze 1 head of cattle to 3 acres. The trees which will stand 18-20Ëš are Eucalyptus melliodora, E. sideroxylon, E. rostrata. [Shantz travel journal, Oct. 15, 1919]
