Description:
Shows grassland and Acacia = typical Acacia-desert grassland. The grasses are large Acacia & Pentzia, Schmidtia and probably Eragrostis. A spiny trifoliate leaved shrub and Lycium and pennyroyal. Occasionally there are areas about [Kennilworth] in which the vegetation has remained with almost no modification. Of course all areas are grazed and many of them badly overgrazed - but the Acacias stand as in the natural veld. [Shantz travel journal, Sep. 20, 1919]
